GMF digital session: The power of constructive journalism

**Join the Global Media Forum 2020 on December 14 for a virtual session discussing constructive journalism. The session begins at 14:30 (UTC+1). **

The news media today is increasingly being accused of being sensationalist and negative. This has inspired many journalists and media outlets around the world to change course, turning to the approach known as constructive journalism, which aims to provide audiences with an accurate picture of the world that is also contextualized.

Constructive journalism covers the good as well as the bad aspect of a story - and all the grey areas in between. It also rather focuses on exploring solutions instead of only identifying problems upon problems.

The GMF panel on December 14 will explore the possibilities and pitfalls along this new path, and will discuss how the media should explore ways to reinvent itself for the future.
